Learners in Mrs. Bailey's APUSH classes are gearing up for their exam by practicing argumentation through a 1920s argumentation tournament. Each group was given a specific innovation/technology and their goal was to argue why theirs was the most impactful during the 1920s (and today) in a minute and a half. After each round, learners voted for which they felt was the most impactful. Winners advanced and had to argue again, this time with only thirty seconds. Winners were announced after each round and are posted on the bracket. The number in front of the innovation reflects the class period.

This week's Academic Moment centers around the Course Verification process for rising C9-C12 learners.

🚀✨Mr. Belyeu's C8 Science class blasted off as they studied Newton's Third Law of Motion! 🎈💨 Their challenge: To build balloon rockets using twine, tape, straws, and of course, balloons that propel across the room in record time, mastering the art of speed and precision. With each attempt, they fine-tuned their designs, making adjustments and testing their "aircrafts" until they achieved the perfect balance of power and performance. The result? Across-the-room travels, successful vertical liftoffs, and a class with more knowledge and understanding of the principles of motion. 💥🔬
