📸 Honoring the Past, Creating the Future 🎨
These incredible learners have been given a unique opportunity to explore art, history, and storytelling through the lens of the Civil Rights Movement, Danny Lyon's photography, and their own personal experiences.
This program emphasizes creative choice, media exploration, and critical reflection—culminating in a student-led gallery presentation alongside the Durr Lecture Series in Montgomery. This year’s speaker is none other than Danny Lyon, photographer for the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee (SNCC) and close friend of John Lewis.
These learners were selected for their exceptional work ethic, artistic skill, communication abilities, and conceptual problem-solving talents. Their completed work will be exhibited at the ASU Interpretive Center from April to May, with an opening reception on March 31st at 5 PM for students and parents.
🗓 Deadline: March 14th
📍 Exhibition Location: ASU Interpretive Center
We are so proud of these learners and can’t wait to see their powerful work on display! 🎭✨
